Description[ | ]
First conceived after the disastrous Battle of Wolf 359, the Sovereign Class was the culmination of development on several other projects, borrowing the Ablative Armour and Quantum Torpedoes of the Defiant but embracing the sleek profile and heightened manoeuvrability of ships such as the Prometheus. The Sovereign Class is designed to serve as a front line Command ship, leading Federation fleets into battle while still dealing out a pounding of her own.
