The S-14L 'Lanora' subtype, named for a swift little bird on Romulus, is one of several starship designs derived from the ubiquitous Talon-class spaceframe. Like the Talon, this specific class entered service in the early 24th Century as a patrol vessel and is still widely used by forces of the Romulan Star Navy as an anti-fighter escort due to its small size and impressive maneuverability.
